Hot, Customizable Meals for Every Knoxville Studio Set!
From the sound stages at West Knoxville’s Discovery Center to indie shoots in the Old City, Best Food Trucks keeps East Tennessee film crews fueled and on schedule. Our local team understands the unique pace of on-location production, so your meal breaks roll as smoothly as the Tennessee River.
We collaborate with your production office to build rotating daily menus that work for 12-hour shoots, overnight calls, and everything in between. Need true Volunteer-sized portions? No problem. We’ll map out the best service spots—whether that’s a base camp near Market Square or a pop-up in South Knoxville—streamline online ordering and walk-up pickup, and verify every vendor’s permits and insurance.
Speaking of vendors, Knoxville’s most popular food trucks are ready for their close-up:
- Smoked Pickle Barbecue – slow-smoked ribs and pulled pork that taste like Neyland Stadium tailgate heaven.
- Clean Smoke BBQ – hardwood-fired classics with gluten-free and keto options for health-conscious crew members.
- Dia De Foods – street-style tacos and elote that turn any craft-service table into Cinco de Mayo.
- Hamburger Hill Food Truck – smash burgers stacked higher than House Mountain.
- Penne For Your Thoughts – fresh pasta bowls perfect for chilly nights in the Foothills.
After service we provide a detailed cost analysis, so your line producer can keep the budget tighter than a UT-Georgia matchup. Plus, food truck catering in Knoxville means less single-use packaging and reduced food waste—good for your pocketbook and the Great Smoky Mountains.
Let Best Food Trucks handle the mealtime logistics for your Knoxville studio production. With us on set, the only thing you’ll need to worry about is shouting “Action!”
Boost Knoxville’s Small Businesses With Every Bite
Choosing food truck catering for your Knoxville studio set does more than keep the cast and crew satisfied—it funnels dollars straight back into the Scruffy City. Most of the trucks that park outside your Old City soundstage or North Knoxville warehouse are owned by local families and solo entrepreneurs who live for Vol Nation Saturdays and Sunsphere sunsets. Every pulled-pork plate or veggie bowl they serve strengthens East Tennessee’s economy, from the dairy farms in Sevier County to the coffee roasters on Gay Street.
Food trucks also check the box for eco-friendly studio catering. Their compact, self-contained kitchens sip far less energy than a traditional commissary tent, and many Knoxville vendors use compostable serviceware to keep single-use waste out of the Tennessee River. Feed your people, cut your carbon footprint, and keep the Smokies looking sharp—it’s a triple win.
So the next time you type “Knoxville studio food truck catering near me” or “low-budget film catering Knoxville” into your browser, hit up Best Food Trucks. We’ll roll onto set, fire up the griddle, and prove that supporting local never tasted so good.

One of the pizza's was perfect but the cheese pizza was burned in the bottom which made the pizza taste bad . We follow the truck and have never had this happen.

This is the best burger truck. Everything we ordered was really fresh. Please keep Smash and Roll on Talavera’s list of trucks.

The fries were cooked well and love the seasoning, I just prefer thinner fries. I also think it would be better if the bun was toasted. Otherwise great meal.
